Beard Balm Recipes

100g herbal infused olive oil
25g coconut oil
25g beeswax

optional: essential oils of your choosing

Herbal Infused Oil

To make your own herbal infused oil:
Fill a small, heat proof, glass jar halfway with the herbs of your choosing. For this recipe I used 2 parts mint and 1 part rosemary.

Place a saucepan with a couple inches of water over medium-low heat. Place your glass jar into the water. Be careful not to get any water in your oil.

Stir occasionally.

After 4-6 hours, remove from heat and allow to cool. Strain your oil through a mesh sieve lined with cheesecloth to a sterilized jar. Squeeze out any oil. If not using right away: seal, label, and date.

Creating The Beard Balm

Heat your infused oil, coconut oil, and beeswax using a double boiler. Do not heat directly on stove to prevent scalding your ingredients.

Stir gently and frequently until the wax is melted.

Allow balm mixture to cool to safe temperatures before adding your essential oils (flash rate of oils will depend on which oils you choose). Stir in your essential oils for 1-2 minutes to ensure they are fully dispersed through your mixture.

Carefully pour into sterilized jars or containers. Allow to sit until solidified and cooled completely.
